Guest V6 galaxy Posted June 1, 2003 Report Posted June 1, 2003 Hi everyone Can anyone give me any ideas on how to fit a drop down monitor for my dvd player? i don't want to screw it and i don't want to glue it, i heard velcro (heavy duty) is good but has anyone ever done this yet? any help will be appreciated. thnx Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted June 1, 2003 Report Posted June 1, 2003 ...but you will still need to fasten the velcro to the headlining. Have you tried the slim-line lcd monitors that fit onto the back of the headrestraints? If you mount an lcd to the roof with velcro, you may find that vibration is an issue and those watching could get headaches. Not sure of any other alternatives -anyone working in an ICE store who reads this forum and could offer some suggestions? Quote
Guest V6 galaxy Posted June 1, 2003 Report Posted June 1, 2003 Hi Ivor_E_Tower thanks for the help but where there is a will there will be a way.I have got a Monitor so i will have to fit it . Quote
Guest V6 galaxy Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Hi Ivor_E_Tower looks like i will have to screw it , thanks for the help anyway Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Thought about getting a csutom-made "bracket" made? Could clip into the top of the "B"-pillar trims so that it doesn't leave a mark on the headlining when you remove it? Were you planning on just screwing it to the headlining, or finding a metal cross-bar in the roof to fix it to? Quote
Guest V6 galaxy Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Hi Ivor_E_Tower I was going to drop the headlining, and then use small piece 1/4 MDF the same size as the base of the Monitor to support it under head headlining?? What do you think!! Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 ...and stick the mdf to the roof panel? Sounds good, but if your're going to drop the headlining you're a brave person! Somehow they never seem to go back the same!Good luck - hope you're successful. Quote

Dally Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 V6 Galaxy, Did you manage to fit your roof mount screen? I have looked into this but am struggling to fit a roof mount because of the dual air con vents in the roof. Your experiences or anyone elses will be most welcome. Quote
