jkspoff Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 The dash on my Galaxy can only be described as 'loose'. It knocks on the bulk head (between engine and passenger compartment) when going over bumps, so I pushed/pulled it manually and there is movement in it causing the knocking. It appears to be the whole dash ! Are there any screws/bolts that join the dash to the frame that can be tightened ? and if so how do I get to them, as it appears there is no access.....??? <_< I found that shoving a couple of pieces of 2cm wide plastic down the gap between the windscreen and the dash it stops, as this puts tension on the dashboard and creates a small gap, and stops the movement and therefore the knocking, but looking for a better solution ! <_< Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 You could see if you can get to any of the dash fixings by removeing the dash side cover plates, the one's near the A post at either side, they unclip also see if you can get to the fixings through the upper dash storage bins, lower glove box and fuse board once they are removed also there are two fixings under the dash speakers so pop them out and see if they are ok?
