Hi i need help

My battery keeps going flat, for no reason. I am wondering if this has anything to do with the electrics. Sometimes i will lock the doors and when i go back to the car the windows are open with no signs of a breakin.

The car can run fine and then i will go out the next morning and find the battery is completely dead. This happens about every three days.

The battery is a new one and i have charged it up. Has anyone had the same problem?

Do you think this is a faulty battery or an electrical fault. Please help

Most common cause of this is due to water ingress into the central locking ECU, the one under the front passenger seat in the uNder floor storage bin, do a search on the topic of scuttle drains and central locking ECU

also check the condition of the wiring in the rubber boots where they pass from the body to the doors they crack and short out causing a few odd faults!

Check all the interior lights are off when you leave the vehicle, check the two in the load area! it's common for the switch to go in the rear hatch lock leaveing the lights on!

also check the voltage across the battery terminals with the engine running at fast tick over, it sould be around the 12/14 Volts mark, any lower than 12V and it could be a faulty alternator?
