Just a couple of quick questions; my silver basic galaxy is looking bland and rather then upgrading Im gonna treat the old girl to a couple of cheap extras to bring it in line with the Jones'. (Should have got a higher spec I hear you all cry - it had one owner and very low miles, but still should have gone higher!)

1) Roof bars, are they easy to fit? and does anyone know where I can get any cheaper than fords? I look regularly in ebay with no luck as yet and

2) I have 15" steels and trims and sick of the sight of them and don't really like the ghia wheels for my model which would be the cheapest to source... Most of the alloys I have seen are 16/17 inch, im fairly young but don't have the biggest! Do the spokey type alloys seen on 51 galaxys and above have the same fitament as a 98R galaxy?

That would be a convenient swap as they would look smart without going over the top?.. failing that does anyone know any good places to look?

fanks :o

If you already have roof rails, then the bars are dead easy to fit, and the genuine Ford ones are amongst the cheapest (but obviously not interchanegable if you change vehicles at a later date). IIRC the Ford bars are around

1) Roof rails, yes they can be fitted by yourself :o do a search on the topic someone has posted about it and they had a set of instructions for doing it, you could try one of the Ford breaker's yard for the rails, IIRC one member got their rails from http://www.intapart.com/index.htm

2) Alloy's, there are plenty of them available to fit the Galaxy, Merc, Audi and VW all do rims that will fit the Galaxy or go for the after market sets as Ivor suggest's
