Guest Andy Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 Galaxy 2.0ltr 1995 SO not only do the flippin spark plugs cost Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 County yourself lucky - back in the 1980's I had a Citroen where the engine was almost on its side under the bonnet. Not only could I guarantee to cut myself at least twice trying to change the plugs, but you needed a special plug spanner and tommy bar, plus there were special extension pieces that fitted onto the plugs so that the leads could reach them. Then there were some seals that were supposed to stop water from filling the hole....but these never realy worked and the extension pieces used to rust causing misfiring, poor running etc etc... No wonder I now have a diesel; no plugs to worry about! Quote
Guest Andy Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 AH the lustfull citroen visa with its 45 degree lay factor, worked on loads of those, and yep those extentions were crap ,we used to unscrew them in situe then remove the plugs,i must admit a damned site easier than this galaxy buisiness. Hey FREDT i wish it was the v6 MORE UMPHHHHH. THE FORD GALAXY STILL A GREAT VEHICLE, A REAL TREAT TO DRIVE Quote
iainkirk Posted September 22, 2003 Report Posted September 22, 2003 My first Galaxy was a V6 - you can't do ANYTHING under the bonnet on those. There's just no room whatsoever. I seem to recall having to remove a headlamp to get at summat or other on mine...that might have been the sparkplugs too! Quote
Guest Paul L Posted October 4, 2003 Report Posted October 4, 2003 Pain in the ar*e to get at and you need 15" of socket extension bar + the plug socket!!! In addition to that, you need the dexterity of a womans hands not hands the size of shovels - like me! Galaxy 2.0 GLXi (Mk.1) Enough said! Quote
