Parking Sensor Issues

I suspect that this is a relay issue, but I thought i'd ask the question anyway.

 

The problem is one minute the parking senors will work and then 2 mins later they don't. Also I noticed that one night when this happened the headlight warning sound (the one you hear when you open the door and you have left the lights on with the ignition off) did not work either.

 

Do I need a new relay if so which one (part No)

Bought the car 1 month after warranty lapsed. Took out another warranty with 'Great trade centre' who will do the work BUT only if you can find someone who charges no more than

What about a mobile auto-electrician ? He'll probably have more idea than a garage and be cheaper.

I work in Kensignton but Live in Luton. Think i'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay ford the difference on the labour costs

Bought the car 1 month after warranty lapsed.

Warranty is 2 years for imported cars and 3 years for "genuine" UK-supplied cars. Check with Ford's warranty centre if youare not sure - you should be covered if the car has been serviced to schedule - if it's a 53, then first reg date will be 01 Sep 2003 so it must be under some sort of warranty cover.
