Seat Alhambra Engine Turns But Won't Start

Hi there

I have a petrol 2.0l automatic r reg seat alhambra, after driving through a large puddle the car stalled and will not restart engine turns fine but no sign of life I got towed back home any ideas what this could be

How deep/big was the puddle? how fast were you going through it? did the bow wave enter the engine compartment? is the ignition system wet? try drying it all out and spraying a bit of moisture displacement oil around (WD40 etc) the engine bay

also check the auto boxes ECU control lead and the sensors on the auto box, without really knowing how far up into the car/engine bay got we cant suggest much more than drying it out and a liberal dose of water displacement spray on anything electrical
