Guest vr6galaxy Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 Load reduction relay for the rear hatch, due to the distance and the load the rear hatch sticks on the wireing! it's there to reduce the load on it and the control unit Quote
galaxychap Posted December 19, 2004 Author Report Posted December 19, 2004 Thanks for such a quick reply Quote

Now unlocking the car centrally only works via key in door do i need to get the keys re-programmed if so is that a ford dealer job the batteries are ok only replaced them 2 wks ago. Thanks Leon :D Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 Do a search on remote key programing, glad to hear it's all working ok with the new ECU plugged in :D to help stop the possabillity of it getting wet again stick some washers or such like uner the mountings to space it up off the floor Quote
galaxychap Posted December 21, 2004 Author Report Posted December 21, 2004 Talking of weather proofing im surprised the outer casing is not sealed for life the outer casing on the old unit just unclipped apart to reveal a soaking pcb. I did think of using washers but thought that would not raise it enough so i am gona instead attach it to the underside of the removable panel. anyway thank you for your input. Leon :D Quote
