Guest vr6galaxy Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 Can you use the standard type sold by the dealers if you have a rear spoiler fitted or does the spoiler get in the way of the top mounting clamps? Quote
davec Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 ive got the 2004 gal and cycle rack fits over the silly bit on top, what year is yours, could email the instructions if that helped, dont know about the earlier version,i used a halfrauds one on my 97 galaxy Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 It's just that there are a couple up for grabs on Ebay and I figured it may be easier than sticking the bike's inside or up on the roof, but from looking at the pictures in the brouchure's the spoiler may in the way of the top mounts! so I may same the cash and just keep them in the boot Quote

MrT Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 On the facelifted Galaxy the Ford rack has two metal clips that fit onto the top surface of the tailgate. The front edge is bent into a small U shape and hooks over the leading edge of the tailgate top surface into the gap between the tailgate and roof. The clip covers the front to back of the top surface (about 120mm) of the tailgate and follows the rounded rear contour and drops around 20mm vertically downwards towards the glass. Quote
Guest T120 Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 Have you got a tow bar if so you can get a cycle rack that fits onto the tow ball. Check your local cycle dealers. Works great on ours. Quote
