Aux Heater Glowplug Available From Vw Dealers.

hi, it appears the glow plug for the aux heater is available from your local vw dealer at a cost of

if you have removed the glowplug there should be a name and some numbers if you can give them to me i will try to crossreference it at work i would need makers name and any numbers

hi, the beru no. is 0100 226 228

im in the motor parts business myself and cannot find an aftermarket cross ref for this plug, i deal with bosch,fai,wellman,chapion,ngk ect..

i will have a look as well it must be available beru are a well established company. i am not doubting your word and i did not know you were in the trade :)

I knew a plug was available from VW - but the parts guy told me he had no info other than it was for models upto and incl 2000. I have a feeling it may be a Beru plug - But as he had to order it and wanted paying 1st, I wasn't prepared to risk it being wrong.

 

The original Beru part No above has been superceeded by another part No which I have somewhere - it's trade catalogue ref is GH001.

 

Possible reasons for you not finding a xref is that apparently the main app for this plug is industrial uses...

it appears that ford tell people you cant get the glowplug and need a new unit.

ive spoken to a site called fixafordcar and they said the same.

strange that vw list it though. maybe uts the german proffessionalism. dont think i spelt that word correctly. im hoping to fit this plug next week now the frosts arrived and get the thing working. will report asap. thanks for your great help and info mike.
