just been out all morning checking this and that, man we bought it from said it was a 1.9dti 110, its got an all chrome dti badge totally surrounded by red, is this correct for 110 ?

also the heating seems odd. i run the engine and tested the heater blower and when i pressed the recirculation knob it lit up i could here the vents move then the light went out ,is this correct?

We need a bit more info M8. :rolleyes:

 

What year would help and the spec (LX, Zetec or Ghia etc.)

 

Also, if your badge says dti then either there is something seriously wrong or your Galaxy was previously owned by the Department for Trade & Industry (the DTI).

 

Do you mean TDi?

 

Give us the year and tell us whether the T, the D and/or the i are in red or silver.

its a 98 s reg 1.9dti 110

 

From looking at Martins post's so far he has a 98 so dont forget the Zetec wasnt around then! and the only options for the TDI was the 88ps or the 110ps back in 98

On mine the light stays on, I'm not sure of it's operation on the later models but on my last three VW's the recirc button would light up when pressed but then go out if the air direction knob was set to demisting the screen, try altering the air direction knob and see if that helps?
