Parking Heating System

Obtained the brochure from Webasto (they make the heating units for the exec coaches). They offer a unit that piggy backs off of the existing aux heater unit so that:

 

B) you get a pre-heated interior;

:D pre-heated engine so no more cold starts and easier starting;

:( pre-heated engine means better response and reduced engine wear, and

:D reduced emissions from a pre-heated engine.

 

They say the upgrade kit costs

you've got a garage that'll fit a galaxy in? must have a butler who could get up and warm it up 30mins before you need it :rolleyes:

I fitted an 2 way pager alarm to my Gal and can start the car and turn heaters on from upto a mile away also can set an alarm on it to start car at set time every morning ready for the school run must admit works very well and costs a lot less than the above prices with the advantages of having a flash alarm that tells you if someone is trying to or is breaking into your car if your away from it!

Don't let my wife know - she has to go out in all weathers and sit in the ice-like interior until it's all de-frosted.

 

Then I wake up and do it myself, of course!
