My abs light is on all the time. I have checked fluid height in master cyl , brake lights both on, disconnected battery and re-connect still on.

This forum has threads that say it may be sensor. Topbloke outlined how to check sensor , but can this be expanded to the number of pins in the connector and a more detailed info on how to check sensor with a multi-meter.

As i am limited on electrical checks.

I found that doing a quick unplug/plug on each sensor, with the obligatory road test after each one isolated the problem for me.

Otherwise, for lack of any other method, do a resistance test across the pins of each sensor and look out for a sensor that's vastly different to the rest.

do's the light come on as soon as you start up then go out then come on when the vehicle starts moving, if so it will most likely be a sensor . if it go's out then comes on without moving then it will be something else possibly overcharge relay, brake switch eletric motor within the abs unit ! . if you can answer this for me i will try to give you further guidance

I have the same problem on my S reg Galaxy. It turned out to be the ABS sensor ring had cracked and become loose leading to the ABS fault. Worth checking yours?

Just Got mine back from the Local Ford dealer. Wow, They did exactly what I asked, did it well and showed me what they did. Excellent. My local is in Westbury, Wilts by the way. So much better than the useless Calne depot!!

I had the same problem and Mr AA and the dealer confirmed the fault. The ABS light comes on and stays on due to the ABS sensor ring being loose. The sensor cannot pick up the ring therefore it comes on before the vehicle moves. The ABS then needs resetting after you replace the CV joint.

If your ring is damaged or loose then the CV joint is
