Can I Disable The Alarm?

When taking the children to school, I have to leave the dog in the car.

If I lock the doors, the interior sensors, sense the dog and havoc breaks out.

Is there a way to lock the doors and disable the internal motion sensors?

Car is a 2000 facelift 2.3 Ghia

Many Thanks

Try pressing the lock button on the remote twice in succession. Works with some cars.

Ultrasonics can hurt a dogs ears btw.....

If you press it twice in quick succession (within 2 secs IIRC) the hazards give a second flash and the LED in the drivers door stops flashing. You can also push the driversdoor lock in from the rear door, which also inhibits the alarm.

..or lock it twice using the key in the drivers door - turn key twice within about 3 seconds, the red LED will stop flashing and the car will stay locked but NOT alarmed.

Hmm, Pressing the alarm lock twice works but the doors dont open from the inside. Kinda dangerous if you ask me.

Why is it dangerous, you don't lock the car from outside with anyone inside it do you?

There is little point in locking a car from the outside if it can be opened from the inside. It is so easy to reach inside with a piece of wire or a brick and open the door.
