My indictor lens has somehow developed a crack??

I cant see any screws etc to release it and dont believe just yanking it off is gonna help.

One parts shop told me it was a dealer part, but another told me he would be able to get hold of one.

Any help appreciated.

Front or rear? iirc as yours is a MK2 so the front indicator is part of the head light, if it's the rear then it's a replacement rear light unit, if it's just the side repeater then its an easy job

If it is a front and a MK1 then you remove the front grille, and then you can see a single screw at the bottom of the indicator lense.

If it's a mk1 then the grill stays put and you undo the single fixing screw at the top of the indicator where it meets the wing and then slide it out of the wing

Thanks guys,do you mean the black plastic screw located on top of the headlight,if you look closely it looks as if there is a black arm which may be holding the indicator lens in place Fred.

It is a mk1

thats the one, a large phillips headed screw, just loosen it and the lense should slide out

I thought you had a MK2

Thanks Fred,I know very little about cars as you can tell,Today i have learnt it is a mk1.replacement lens on order from local parts shop, the guy said they come as a package which also included summat that sits behind the lens(the reflecting metal perhaps?,cost 19.99 for one.Hate to think what dealers charge.

I am getting better at diy,and have seen galaxy manuals on c.d for sale on e-bay,usually sell for a couple of quid, seems a sound investment for me

Most likely the lamp holder, you should be able to use the existing lamp and holder, stick the old cracked one in the garage as an emergency spare! you never know it may come in handy!

that's not a bad price Euro car parts want
