Using Tmc On Factory Fitted Satnav

Hi, I have a 2002 Galaxy with a factory fitted Blaupunkt TravelPilot DX stanav system which uses the Tele Atlas "United Kingdom - Ireland 2004 - 2005 - TravelPilot DX - TMC" CD. Can anyone tell me if the TMC option will work with this system. I cannot find any information regarding the subject or, if its not possible in stardard configuration, can I add or change it to work. Tele Atlas stated it should work, but again no more information. Could anyone help?

 

Also dose the unit have to be tuned in to Classic FM?

Anyone know the correct model/name and number of the system as the Ford dealers have NO idea.

TMC works with a completely different receiver to the audio one. I have VDO SatNav fitted to my van and added the TMC option which included another (additional) antenna, a TMC module (plugged into the brain of the SATNAV) and then it all functioned. I don't know whether it's an option on the Ford unit but you shouldn't have to tune to any station.
