Guest gritrash Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 just had 10k service, and want to check that the part number givenon the invoice for the oil is the correct oil for a pd-engined gal. I vaguely remember someone posting these somewhere on this site, but i can't find it. Any clues anyone? Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Ford SD or VW spec 505.01 or Castrol 505.01 Quote
Guest gritrash Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 thanks ivor - trouble is that my car has been filled with Ford "Part No. 1130310", with no reference to the SD specification. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 Sorry, cannot help as I don't know. Anyone working for a dealer out there? Can you confirm what that part number is for? Quote
Guest nelse Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 The oil is Ford/Motorcraft SD SAE 5W-40 as mentioned above, the ford specification number as specified in the latest handbooks is WSS-M2C917-A, you could always phone a Franchised dealers parts department and ask the part number of the right oil.
