hello

i am new to this forum having just bought an Alhambra 1.9 tdi s however it has come only with an radio cassette scala unit, it looks just like the radio unit i had in my VW bora, will a VW single CD player mate with the scala unit easily by replacing the cubby hole with it

most likely would but why not just replace the OE head unit with a CD player and keep the cubby hole?

Thanks for the reply, call me boring but id rather retain the original cassette radio and add an cd player, as i, i think they look better than after market models.

Have to agree with Italiastar Sparkie Pete. I replaced Scala Unit with Kenwood CD/MP3 player last year. Improved sound & can stick 150 MP3 tunes at 192 bit rate.

But choice is yours.

Firstly thanks to all for the replies, and yes, the CD player is what i was looking for, however still not sure if it will work with the seat head unit.

I have a colleague whose dealer (company car) added a VW dash mounted CD to his Alhambra with Scala. It might have been the 6-disc version - all fed through the slot, but the interface would be the same.
