deadpool2e Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Hi all, My Galaxys Air con/Climate control panel started flashing the other day when i started it.(after i was messing around with it in traffic) looked at the hand book and it says to go and get it checked by main dealer?? However it has now stopped flashing on start up, i have had no failure of the heating or fans. I must say that when i was messing around with it in traffic it was cold outside and i was seeing if i would still do cold air. Any Ideas? Should i still get it checked? ThanksMark Quote

ThanksMark I checked mine with VAG COM and an intermittent rear blower was displayed.Apparently there is no real fix for this, one thing I did notice is that during the summer the flashing did not happen once. One other thing I have noticed is that if I leave the temp on 18c and auto I get no flashing at all even though its cold at the moment. Its a strange problem but I do not worry about it myself as I know my system is OK.I am not saying this is what is wrong with your Galaxy but seems strange that you get the same problem as me in cold weather. deadpool2e Posted November 14, 2004 Author Report Posted November 14, 2004 hi, What is a "VAG COM" ?? Thanks Quote
dipsomaniac Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 VAG-COM is software which can diagnose faults, amongst other things. I had the same problem a couple of months ago where my display would flash for a couple of seconds on startup. System reported no errors and an air con expert said that the system maybe getting low on gas or that I may have a loose connection behing the display. I haven't had mine re-gassed, climate control is working OK and hasn't flashed for a couple of months now so I am not worried too much about it. Quote
Guest V6KID Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I had my whole system replaced in June after flashing panel. It still flashes now and Ford Auto Electrician does not know why. System works fine though..... Quote
Nick Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 Could be that you have low air con gas. Suspect a leak. Quote
Guest V6KID Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Nick - not really as the system has been replaced/checked - took 10 days.Suspect an electrical fault cos as I say the system works fine. Quote
davec Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 had "aircon service" told flashing was because of discrepancy in readings of front and rear temp sensors, flashed for five years and still worked ok Quote
