Hay,i have a 1996 2.0 galaxy, BIG problem, everytime i hit 70mph the car pulls back and looses power until i take my foot off the accelerator and then put it back down. It doesn't happen all of the time just usually when it's wet??
I thought it was the fuel pump???
Help!! :D

Wet bit might be red herring.....unlikely to be ignition components getting wet as it would not recover as well as it sounds like it does.

Does it do it at same rpm in lower gears?? Let us know.

Suspect fuel starvation. Check the tank venting pipes and valve (there are other postings on this around the site(s).

Is the fuel filter genuine and recent and the correct way round?

I would check all fuel pipes for kinking/collapse also.

Could be numerous other things...like crank sensor/gap?
