Guest j_mchattie Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 My car doesnt have Remote central locking - there are various kits on the market which allow the upgrade. But, are there any which also support the 'Double locking' feature on the mk1 mondeo? Thanks Quote
Guest j_mchattie Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 ALARMAN - You said that there was a kit out there, can you send me details please? Thanks j_mchattie@hotmail.com Quote
ALARM MAN Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 Hi mate yes i have a double locking module it is the 819 by laserlineit has all the fitting instructions let us know if you want it Regards Ian Quote
Guest j_mchattie Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 I cant find any details of it on the net. Does it have one of the old skool square remotes, or a nice curvy (round) one?And is it an ass to fit? ive fitted laser line before, and it took ages (indicator flash, ultrasonics etc...). Otherwise itll be a pager instead, but im not sure if its worth it. Thanks James Quote
ALARM MAN Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 Hi mate this is just an upgrade for an alarm system makes standard locking into double deadlocking.I can supply this or an alarm or a pagerWhat do you fancy Ian Quote
Guest j_mchattie Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 The standard Mondeo alarm/locking system already double locks the car. But you have to twist the key all the way to unlock, then all the way to lock in 3 seconds - then it double locks the whole car. I just needed a remote system that would do that with the existing central locking motors. Or there is the option of the pager, which is more useful to me, but i dont want a massive brick to carry around all the time! What sort of price are they? Thanks Quote
Guest j_mchattie Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 can you give me a model number please mate? Thanks Quote
Guest j_mchattie Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 Still cant find the details of this unit. I just need an add-on for the standard alarm that supports double locking and will give me remote activation of the system. Something with a decent sized key fob, like the one on the intro of http://www.laserline.it/ I hate these massive square keyfobs - the laserline one is exactly what im after, but i cant find ANY details of the 819 unit, so i dont know what the key fob looks like. If it supports double locking, gives me remote capability of my existing alarm, and has a decent fob - im there thanks Quote
Guest j_mchattie Posted October 16, 2005 Report Posted October 16, 2005 As I cant find any details of two units previously mentioned - are there any others out there? Im looking for remote double locking, on a MK1. Thanks Quote
Guest j_mchattie Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 I'm still looking for one if you know of any - thanks Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 Any alarm/remote locking kit will do it? as long you cut into the dead locking signal wire, then every time you remote lock the car it will be dead locked! thats how mine works! :( Quote
Guest j_mchattie Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 There are actually two seperate wires? Didnt know that. No diagram in the haynes. ALARMAN (back in the day) didnt tell me that. Thats what ill do then, if i can find out which colour the wire is. Thanks! Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 Well thats how it works on mine! two seperate wires/signals one for locking one for dead locking, I took the dead locking option to keep the car more secure! makes it fun though when I accidently lock the lock the car with the wife and kids still in it  Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 I could be totally wrong here (awaits expert opinion!) but it looks like you need to tap into the White/red from the central locking ECU to dead lock and then the Yellow/Red to reset the dead locks! could be totally wrong though as these TIS wireing diags are a bitch to read at times  Quote
Guest j_mchattie Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Thanks for looking VR6, my TIS dvd is in Kent - 125mi away! I will be going that way at the weekend. Thanks again James Quote
Guest j_mchattie Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 I agree on the colours (and the TIS diags being turd). Will an off-the self system beable to do the re-set thing? I think position 2 (re-set) doesnt actually re-set the system in that sense. I think it is just another position on the switch. So when the module receives 2 and then 1 - it double locks. Which would mean that an off the shelf wouldnt do it. Because it needs to perform 2 actions. I may be wrong - there may be a wire just for double locking - but i have a feeling that the two actions are very seperate and that two individual signals need to be sent for the module to double lock. Thanks Quote
ALARM MAN Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 Not sure about your idea on deadlocking car every time as could hinder escape if anything happend whilst some one inside. I know you can do the focus like this but i refuse for safety reasondsbut it is a totaly different alarm box. You can do via diodes but have not done on Mondeos thought they had all gone by now. Guest j_mchattie Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 ALARMAN - you mentioned a few months ago some modules that DO support the mondeo double locking system. Are these still available please? Quote

Guest j_mchattie Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 I found this on the net - do you think the key operation would still work? http://www.btinternet.com/~madmole/Referen...ing%20Interface Quote
