Denis Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 I've just noticed two of the three hinges for the fabric covered lid that covers the CD changer enclosure are broken and the lid is flopping about. The hinge parts that have broken are not on the lid but part of the enclosure. I can't figure out what I'm going to have to buy to cure it- anyone else had this? I was going to tell the kids off for breaking it until I realised I was the last person in the family to touch it. :unsure: Quote

Guest fredt Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 Get a replacement storage bin from a breakers, if you cant get the same colour trim cover, the cover will come off with a bit of gentle help! then stick your cover onto the bare lid, or remove the cover fit a couple of hinges and stick the cover back on to hide the fixings Quote
chromedome Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 I can see from your profile that you have an 03 vehicle. Try going back to the dealer and see if it's covered by warranty. You can say the hinging mechanism is not fit for purpose. Quote
