iainkirk Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 There's a thing on Ebay at the moment - not an original item, but apparently made to fit: Bumper Protector thingy Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 For facelifted models, SEAT accessories list a black plastic thing that sticks to the rear bumper, but I don't know if the rear bumper moulding is the same on the Alhambra, Sharan and Galaxy. Obviously the front bumpers are different....It's quite expensive IIRC at about Quote
Richmond Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Isn't the point of a bumper to take bumps and so protect the rest of the car? Where will it all end? If you have a bumper protector, what's going to protect that? The car'll be longer than an artic. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 The "point" of bumpers is defeated by painting them, though. Any slight mishap results in a scrape or chip, which is so noticeable. Unpainted grey or black is much more serviceable but doesn't look as good when the car is new. Quote
davec Posted October 19, 2004 Author Report Posted October 19, 2004 thing on ebay would do thanks a lot for link would prefer black but could easily paint it will try seat dealer as well the old chrome bumper could take a lot of stick not like these things Quote
davec Posted October 25, 2004 Author Report Posted October 25, 2004 got the ford bumper protector a sparkly bit of stick on plastic only goes on top of bumper but hopefully it will cover the scratches around Quote
Guest pensioner Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 To save money and protect your car bumper, go to a local surf shop or skateboard dealer and buy some slip proof adhesive grip. comes in different colours and is hard wearing :o Quote
