Apparently the Galaxy has been fitted with a Centrally Actuated Release Mechanism (CARM) for a few years now. I had my flywheel and clutch changed under warranty just over a year ago. Lately my clutch pedal

For info for anyone else with this problem - the clutch slave cylinder was worn out. Simple you may think - but it lives in the bellhousing - so it's out with the gearbox.

 

Whenever you have to change your clutch change the slave as well if it is a CARM type - its much cheaper in the long run.
