RussT Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 I seem to have a problem with the heating system in my 97-Gal, it never seems to get very hot.. (Luke Warm infact) as winter is now here i would like to travel in the warmth. The Temp Gauge never gets into normal. (stays just of the bottom) So last year I got the Ford dealer to look at it, thinking it need a new Thermostat but they said it was ok and this was normal for the Galaxy. As any bodyelse got this problem or is it just me who drives a Fridge in Winter. Chilly RussT  Quote
Guest fredt Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 My gauge never gets as far as just under half way, IIRC the low running temp has been mentioned before on the forum how hot does your rear heater get? if its blowing hotter than the front then it could be a duff or blocked heater matrix up front or the cables for the heater could be stretched and need resetting, you could try a new thermostat and flushing the system and see if it makes any difference?
