Kev of Cov Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 I was until recently frustrated by the untidy mess the headphone wires cause when a video is playing. Not only messy but a tripping hazard and potential for damage. Solved it for Quote
Guest fredt Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Cables! :( no cables on my set up :( infra red headphones the future is cordless  Quote
Dally Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 No wires either. Infra red headphone transmitter built into the monitors. Had 5 headphones running of them the other week. Could have had more!!! Quote
Barlidge Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Does anyone know if the infra red on the original fit monitors will work with infra red headphones or will i need to add a base unit too? Quote
Dally Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 The infra red on the ford monitors is a receiver for the remote control signals only. The sony monitors I have, are equipped with a transmitter and receiver for both remote control signals and headphone output. Quote
Guest Andyjflet Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 I have Infa Red headphones too the same unit also works the remote control for the DVD player. It runs from the DVD player along the headlining and is stuck on the right hand door post just to the right of my head, works a treat and you dont notice its there. I bought Philips headphone sets for about Quote
