Painting Door Mirrors

I've painted my door mirrors to match the car. If you pop out the glass, the back plate unclicks, can be painted and snapped back into place.

 

A bit concerned though !!!! will the paint increase my fuel consumption or will the fact that the mirrors are more slippery, reduce it?. :rolleyes:.........

I can't afford to worry about petrol consumption; 25 mpg on a 360 mile round trip, about 30 miles not on motorway, av speed 62 mph.

 

My mirrors are the same colour as the car anyway.

My door mirrors are glass with silvery reflective coating. Their housings are body-coloured though...
