Guest stevebm1 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 check this out if your stuck on radio rear connectors http://oem-auto-accessory.com/photo_page.html :D Quote
stourwalk Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 Great if u need the older radios! Doesn't help with the new ones though :-) Somewhere I've got a link to the newer ones as well, will dig that out and add to this thread.. Quote
MrT Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 My impression of the link was that is was for USA radios and not the European models. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 If Ford have "done it correctly" there is a DIN standard for in-car audio units so that all pins are in the same place on all units. It should make it very easy to upgrade - just unplug the old unit and plug in the replacement. Worked OK for me when I upgraded the standard unit in my Scenic for a more powerful Panasonic unit (which was actually older than the Scenic by several years). Anyone want to buy a Panasonic radio-cassette unit, little used? :( Quote
stourwalk Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 You would like to think so - except they don't use standard ISO connectors.. Oh and the Halfords Ford-to-ISO converter one has the permanent 12V and switched 12V connectors round the wrong way... Quote
