Fuel Pump, Same As Sharan?

Hi, i'm pretty sure i have a problem with the fuel pump in my 1997 2.0 GLX. I have checked and there is a 12v signal getting there when ignition switched on. Does anyone know if the pump in the VW Sharan is the same as fitted to the Galaxy?
