paulmpaciorek Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Dunno whether this topic has been discussed but here I go anyway........Has anyone fitted a TDI power box to 115 bhp 6 speed.??I put one on my Golf TDI 90 bhp and it mad a massive difference. My only concern with the Sharan is these babies are heavy on the front skids anyway so what are they like with a box on !!!! My golf would try and wheel spin in 3rd gear when I put the "box of tricks" on....very scary in the wet  Quote
Guest SA Intruder Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Have a search for superchips and tuning box. Loads of mixed views, particularly on how they may fool the buyer. Quote
Davetheref Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Loads of mixed views, particularly on how they may fool the buyer. I fitted one on my 130 bhp about 6 weeks ago and yes, it really did make a difference (well, I pretty sure it didn't fool me  Loads more power and torque and I have havn't had any problems so far in the wet or otherwise. If anything, I tend to lay of the gas more and I also get much better MPG's. Great tool. Quote
Guest rusty Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Hi All, Being completely useless when it comes to anything technical, just how easy is it to fit? Regards Russell Quote
Davetheref Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Must admit that I had to send a digital piccie to the seller that I bought it from for him to show me where to fit it as I just couldn't see from the instructions. As it turned out, it was right in front of my eyes the whole time and took about 30 seconds to fit. Its as easy as just uplugging one cable, plug that into the chip and plug the other side back in. Guest BCA Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 Davetheref, thinking of doing the same as you, can you tell me where you got it from and if i`m not being to cheeky, how much it cost? plus did you inform your insurance company, if so did they up your premium by much?? cheers Quote
Davetheref Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 Whoops, insurance company? knew i forgot to do something when I fitted it. Anyway, I got it from Ebay from a guy called Redituning. Just checked on there now and he has quite a few for sale. Just do a search for tuning modules. Quote
