Guest dave lodge Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 can any body tell me where to start, the warning buzzer that goes of when you take the keys out and the lights are still on has packed up, and i am fed up of going back out to turn them off ;) any good ideas would be appreciated :D Quote
djacks42 Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 1. Post-it note on the dashboard? 2. Say 'Beeeeeeeeep' when you take key out? 3. Don't drive in the dark. No..? Quote
MrT Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Does the radio still turn off when the key is removed? If not you have a sticky ignition lock. Isn't it also attached to the door light switches so it goes off when you open a door with the lamps on? Do all these turn the internal lamps on and off? Otherwise the buzzer has probably worn out and needs replacing. Quote

Walk round car after you park to make sure that all windows are closed and lights are off. Sorry, don't know location of the buzzer - try the Parts Counter when you go to order a new one? Quote
djacks42 Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 I have had a good look through ECAT (new Microcat) and it looks like the buzzer must be PIA with the IP loom or associated with the CJB (black box). i.e. it seems not to be a serviceable item by itself. If it can be located as a seperate unit by tracing the wire back, and you cannot get a direct replacement, then a standard Maplins part would be a substitute. Quote
Masked Marauder Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Have a look for Entry Illumination Buzzer PN 33-07-007 If that is what it is, it is in the under-dash panel on the driver's side. Quote
