Hmmm.... Now this is strange

 

I sold this DVD player to this guy in eBay over a month ago and he says that it was never dellivered and apparently signed for by somebody else not him.

Now this is even stranger, having been interested in this I checked out what you mentioned and he only has a feedback rating of 2, neither of which are for buying this DVD player from you ??

 

Are these tactics to ensure no one else buys it cos you want it or do you have the wrong person ?????

 

The plots thickens......I may have to call in Morse soon to unravell the terrible truth behind the dodgy DVD player. :rolleyes:

under what name did the guy buy it ? as he has changed his ID! he also could have several ID's!

I have checked his ID and he has changed it.

 

I assure you i dont want to bid for goods i have already sold, i just want t protect other ebays from being potentially being ripped off.

 

The DVD was send special delivery and was signed for the next day. He has insisted for the last two months that he didnt get it and i have been tracking this with the Royal Mail and the Police who treat this as theft. Once they confirm the signature and state that the parcel could not be traced then i would refund the guys money in full. This investigation is still ongoing.

 

I was astounded to come across this posting and find the exact same DVD player from the same guy who has since changed his eBay ID to a very similar ID. That alone is suspicious.

 

I sent him an email and after a few tortuous exchanges he states that thr eBay account he is using is his mother (again very dodgy) and to paraphrase another email today he states that he never signed for the parcel and yet is is quite obvious that he has this DVD as i can easily post my original pictures of it on here.

 

I dont mean to sound bitter over all this but i hate being ripped off and i would hate the same to happen to my fellow forum members.

 

If you want to bid for this go ahead, i hope you get a good deal and i hope you get the DVD and have hours of fun, but take note of my warning.

You should take this up with E-bay and the police whilst it is on to see if they can match addressesif so then bingo special delivery is that not insured ?

Do you have any old paperwork on this as there is a serial number on the pics he took

 

If it was new where you bought it from might have the stock number / serial number as one they sold as it will be on the computer

I'm of an opinion that i should just leave this to the Police as postal theft and postal fraud is quite a severe offence, and holds penalties greater than standard theft. Something to do with being property of the crown as its the Royal Mail and this is the view taken by the CPS on review of all cases.

 

I really do hope that nobody else is ripped off by this guy.

 

I only have pictures of the DVD, i threw out all the documentation and packaging but i will look through it tonight.
