Tigger Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 I can remember a mate at work the winter, saying he had to bury his daughters Guinea pig as it had gone all stiff and died. By the end of the day we had him believing they hibernate and he had buried it alive. I know were sad! Quote

Richmond Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 I've just remembered - they eat them in Peru, don't they? Taliska { Yes, they are rather cute! } Yes, they do, and GPs look a good deal less cute sitting on your plate. They taste OK, a bit like duck, but there's not a lot of meat on your average guinea pig. Once they've been peeled and eviscerated, there's not much left except bones. Quote
Guest grello42 Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 Like duck, eh? Full circle! Underlines the point that you should have one with you! Quote
Richmond Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 Like duck, eh? Full circle! Underlines the point that you should have one with you! ... but a guinea pig will do in an emergency. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 Not if you're in that biplane - don't fancy my chances of following a guinea-pig down to a nice soft, watery landing place. Quote
Richmond Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 But at least you wouldn't go hungry during the headlong plunge to earth. Quote
Guest grello42 Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 I don't think you'd have time to cook it. Are they OK raw? Quote
