Taliska Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 Let's try to be impartial here... :D Has anyone ever driven a Previa and could be give a comparison between them and the Shalhambra... :D Taliska Quote
Dally Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 I've driven a friends and no you can't compare it to a galaxy. The steering is far far to light and remains so at speed, the autobox (I've not driven a manual), was only a four speed with overdrive but the overdrive made little difference, lots of body roll too. But Nice supple ride, bags more space than the galaxy and very comfy for even eight people and their luggage! (galaxy just can't do that). Hope that helps. Quote

Guest neil_wiles Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 1974 Landrover !!!!! I had the "pleasure" of driving a 1998 one of these Previas, my verdict for whats its worth is as follows. Vision - Good forward vision but rearward has about as much vision as a periscope as 15metres depth. Driveability - Nice seats ! Engine - Responsive when at a standstill 0-60 if you can bear the wait. Gearbox - Stirring rice pudding. Oh by the way I am also actively involved on many Landrover forum as I have at elast one of the dam things and whilst the drive of a Landie is crucial to the experience of life I couldnt start to compare it to the "no feel" experience of the Previa. So my honest opinion of the Previa - Dont ! :D :D :( :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Quote
Guest fredt Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 My friend had one before his Galaxy, he said it was ok the main thing was that the air con was superb and would give you frost bite! :D a lot of them on the forcourt's are Japanese imports and the spec is a lot greater than the Galaxy's! a lot of the toys wont work in the UK and will cost a few quid to sort out! the sat nav, the tv, the digital display and speedo will all be set up in Japanese and will need major parts to swap them to English if at all possible? try toyotaownersclub they have a section for mpv's Quote
