Hi all.

I've just joined the sight & need advice.

I'm currently at work - Noth sea oil rig - and have a wife who informs me that the abs light on the dash display has come on, ( 2 days ago).

She's checked the manual and sees that it mentiones that

"If the abs light and the ! sign come on together, then head for a Ford dealer"

I've suggested to her to check the brake fluid level but she says that there's no access to the fill cap under the bonnet.

Rear pads were replaced a couple of months back so I'm wondering if this has had something to do with it.

Thanks in advance,

Smeg.

It may be worth a quick visit to your local friendly garage and get them to check the level there are various threads on this subject, if you are still struggling let us know and we will try to help, the light on usually means one of two things either both brake bulbs have failed or one of the wheel sensors have gone t**t's up , get the garage to check the lights at the same time as the levels if you are handy with a multimeter you can check it out the sensors yourself

Cheers much,

My wife popped into our local garage, they had a look and said fine to carry on driving - faulty sensor was the cause, I'll get to grips with it in a weeks time when I get home.

Again,

Thanks.
