Guest hawkeye Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 I have just had to drive around 600 miles with the interior lights on my v6 galaxy clicking on and off, the front foot well lights are particularly annoying. Could not find the fuse that would cut them out so had to switch off roof lights and drive with my door slightly open to keep all the other lights from clicking on and off, amazing the gesticulations that Dutch and Belgian drivers come up with to tell you door is not shut properly. I will take it into my local ford dealer but I would like to know if anyone has any ideas as what is wrong before the garage does the usual trick of randomly replacing parts until they find the problem. Guest fredt Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 A clue to the year of the vehicle would be a help!pre late 98 the controller for the courtesy lights was under the passenger seat, the infamous one that's prone to dampness! check it out? also check the door switches, any of the rubber boots missing? could be a damp or duff switch?also check the rear hatch, the switch for the interior lights is built into the lock if this is bouncing about it could be switching the lights on and off? adjust the striker plate for a more Quote
