yogi3 Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Just bought a galaxy 2.0 glx. On the V5 for model/type it reads "2-axle-rigid body saloon" is this right. Also on car insurance sites they do not recognise the reg, ran a hpi check seems ok. Hpi only read " Ford blue 2000cc petrol manual" Is all this a bit iffy??? Thanks for any help Quote
Guest fredt Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Mine reads GALAXY GLX ESTATE in the model type box, does the chassis and engine number on the V5 match those on the car? I think the model type depends on who ever first filled in the V5! from then onwards the vehicle is known as that! it took us a while to get our fuel type changed after we converted to LPG! it came back as purely GAS then PETROL and then finally as PETROL/GAS wait till after the week end and ring the DVLA and see if its acceptable to be classed as a 2-axle-rigid body saloon? sounds more like a truck description than a car! Ivor_E_Tower Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Mine says Galaxy Ghia TDI. As fredt stated, I think it depends on the dealer that supplies the initial info to DVLA when the car is first registered. Fuel type is listed as Heavy Oil (well, better than steam!) Quote
yogi3 Posted August 30, 2004 Author Report Posted August 30, 2004 yes seems ok, as you say dvla just use the info given by who ever reg's the car first. So what do you drive?I've got a 2 axle rigid body saloon! different anyway, cheers for replies. :) Quote
