Recently while on holiday in cornwall i acquired first had experience of the left had designed windscreen wipers, i.e. the two or three inch's that don't get wiped on the right hand side.

This has caused me some small problems, as many of you have mentioned.

I wish to know however if anyone ever got a solution for this, i've done some searching and can find much talk about it but no solutions.

Any help would be great......

The simplest way is to turn off the wipers with the ignition key when they reach the maximum of the stroke. Undo the nut holding the wiper arm on and rotate the arm until the wiper is almost at the A pillar, then tighten the nut up. You will now have an area at the bottom of the screen that is not swept, but this is preferable to the area in front of your face.

Ahh Mr T, i am one step ahead there (thinkinh i should have explained what i had done...) looked at that before but my Galaxy has the left wiper on top (so to speak so if i take that approach i end up with the left wiper halfway up the screen.

Will double check anyway and thanks for your input.

My drivers wiper is the upper of the two when parked and if you have different length wipers (models vary 28+28 or 28+26) the longer wiper should be on the drivers side. Try setting your wipers up this way, it might need the 26 passengers to clear this way around. Mine is very slightly above the normal parked level (1") and reaches within 1/2" of the pillar at the top.

Also if you remove the blades, don't let the arm accidentally spring back onto the screen as it will break it having a very strong spring.

Surely it is better to have the wiper 1" up the screen than a 3" inch blind spot?
