Guest V6KID Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 Accidentally broke one of the hinges whilst putting something away. Just beenquoted Quote
Guest fredt Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 Which bit have you bust exactly? and what model and colour is it? Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 Depends on what has broken. One of the projections against which the spring presses got broken by the ***##@ that fitted the smartnav system in my Gal, but 5 minutes' work with a drill and a spare nut and bolt fixed it so that it now works better than ever. Can you make a splint for your broken bit? Quote
Guest V6KID Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Managed to break the U part of the clasp so unable to bolt together. Tried Glue - useless - strain too heavy. Drilled a tiny hole and clamped with some wire - worksOK now and saved myself Quote
