Wobbly Drivers Seat Backrest

Hi,

 

Anyone know how to fix excessive left to right movement of driver's seat backrest??

 

Fore and aft is okay.

 

Are there any bolts that need tightened??

 

Also if I need to take the seat out how do I remove/ unplug the pyrotechnic seat belt retractor?

There should just be bolts through the floor pan. I have seen one on which a weld had broken, so the chair still rocked. That was fixed at a local garage, we just handed him the chair and he did a few spot welds.

 

If you have a mk1, then you will need a disabling clip from ford. My last one was about 50p. Which is better than
