Guest Elwood Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 found one on ebay, no pictures or details just been told it's specifically for the galaxy, anyone have any experience of these? are they any good, where does it mount.... thanks in advance.... Quote
Andrew T Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 The Guard in the Galaxy Brochure fits floor to ceiling behind the second row of seats, and has a floor to ceiling divivider attached to it at 90 Degrees. This allows the Dog to have part of the boot and luggage to piled up in the rest. The obvious disadvantage is that you can only use 5 seats. Our solution was to buy a free standing dog cage and remove just one of the rear seats. IIRC the Ford Dog Guard is Quote
buford_t_justice Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 A free standing crate also prevents your dog from leaping out of the boot when you open it. I don't believe the Ford guard caters for this. Quote
Guest Elwood Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 thanks everyone, we have two dogs, a labbie and a collie so single create isn't an option. I like the idea of splitting the boot for lugage. will 'possibly' make a bid later.... Quote
Guest SHELLMAST1 Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 hi all ive got 5 english mastiffs got my divders out of dog world 150.00pound fits behind drivers seat and one with the door in on tail gate 2 seater galaxy but greate for shows Quote
Richmond Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 FWIW, I have a kind of tent thing for the dog whch attaches to any convenient anchoring points in the car (it also has pegs so that he can have a little tent outside if we go to the beach or on a pic nic - aaahhhh :P ). It works well for long journeys, the animal seems to like it. For short trips, we use one of those things which clips to the dog's collar and plugs into the fixed side of a seatbelt. Neither are much use if you have 5 mastiffs, I suspect, but for more modest canine numbers (1 labrador for example) they seem to be a good wheeze. Quote
