Got back tonight to find the trim around the rear wiper spindle and lower edge of rear window on the inside of the tailgate is hanging off - obviously the hot (!) weather and the shock of closing the tailgate have loosened it. Anyone know the best way to re-fit it before I try to tackle it myself later in the week?

TIA

There should be four clips along the edge of the door where the panel meets the screen, they are similar to girder clips! you should be able to press the panel back into them with out removeing it? it may be worth your while though to remove the panel completly and to move them along a bit so they have fresh plastic to bite into!

my mates Mrs is good at removeing the panel from around the rear screen! she shuts the hatch with stuff in the way and forces the panel up and out of the clips!

The 4 clips or so might also need a slight bending to correct any distortion through being removed / time .

Mine's hanging on by 3 atm till I fix the tailgate open sensor thingy.

Thanks fredt, got it sorted. It's still not quite right but at least it's secure again. Funny thing is that the same happened to the trim inside the tailgate on my parents' car last month - the first time that something like this has happened to either of us, ever!
