Hi,

I havn't got my TIS CD yet (ordered it yesterday) nor a Haynes manual (last time I looked it wasn't publised) but I got a job that needs doing - replacing my front disc and pads.

Can anyone help me out here - what is the torques setting for :

a) Caliper monting bolts

 Disc securing bolt

Thanks in advance.

The general setting for most bolts is FT! as in f###ing tight

the official settings are according to Haynes! yes Haynes now do a manual for the Galaxy! but only the MK1 but not the V6 model

Calliper mounting bolts.........190 NM

Disc securing bolts...............9MN

you have got the tool for retracting the pistons? you do know they need to be rotated and pushed back into the calliper at the same time to retract them? and bleed the excess brake via the bleed nipple not back flushing it back up to the reservoir and through the ABS valve block!
