Remote Control Problems - Secure Locking?

Anybody else noticed how nicolas posts are only about buying parts from vagcomponents, her's and a couple of other members all seem to post how good this company is and how they have bought what ever part the topic is about then vanish :( only to pop up again when another chance to advertise this company crops up in another topic about the same part! or am I just being to cynical? :D

Drilled the floor panel blimey thats a bit drastic would that not be a future MOT failure.

 

Now i have dried mne out and brought and fitted a new control unit which ive remounted to underside of removable panel which gives it more clearance than putting it on washers means i cannot store anything under there but thats a small price to pay.

 

Now two things firstly anyone know the price of the the underlay/soundproofong as it needs replacing and whats the procedure for reprogramming the the control unit to the remotes.

 

My galaxy is a 1996 (N) 2.8 GHIA.

THe key thingy did not work for me - had to take it to ford to reprogram in the end.

:( Hi everyone, 1st post and many thanks to you all for sharing your info, I would just like to over a comment on FREDT comment re VAGCOMPONENTS (LYNX). I recently changed the controller, VW quoted approx
