Hello one and all again!!,

when travelling at around 70-80 in the galaxy and then applying the brake the steering wheel shudders rather violently, i was told this is due to warpped discs, is there a better explanation...is this dangerous??, is it covered by a warranty?. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated

I had this on my Mk1 2.8i Galaxy and it went through two sets of discs under warranty. No problems on the Mk2.

It is not dangerous in that warped discs do not affect the braking or steering, but it is very unpleasant and disconcerting.

However I would make sure it is warped discs as other things can cause the same effect such as loose wheel nuts and worn front suspension components and these could be dangerous.
