Servicing A Ford Direct Galaxy

Does anyone know if a Galaxy purchased through Ford Direct must be serviced at a Ford Dealer in order to maintain the warranty?

 

Ideally I would like to take it to an independent garage (VAT Registered etc...)

You will have to read your warranty terms and conditions. Probably best to stick with Ford dealers when under warranty - bearing in mind the cost of aircon repairs and their likelihood, is it worth trying to save about

Spoke to Ford Direct who said that I'm free to have it serviced by any VAT registered garage so long as they use Ford parts to do it although they would prefer it if a Ford garage done the work.

I know what you mean Ivor about saving some money but I reckon dealers have had it their own way for too long now and it's time for the consumer to hit back and keep that hard earned cash in our own pocket.
