Change Bulb/parking Sensors

I am a new galaxy owner 2001 y 2.3 ghia.The paking light bulb has blown how do u change it .Can not get acces to it from emgine compartmet after taking off all the covers.ALSO my parking sensors don,t seem to work There is a tow bar the fuses are ok but not working the light flashes and u get one big beep as u put into reverse gear.Are these diy jobs or Ford only !!

To get at certain bulbs in the head lights there is an access panel in the wheel arch, it might be worth your while hireing the local mid wife to change the bulbs for you as she has experience of working in tight spaces :lol:

 

as for the reversing sensors, the topic has been cover a few times! do a search on the topic and compare problems!

The bulb changing is handled in the car handbook but it a nightmare. The drivers side has some other unit next to it in the wheel arch that makes getting your hand in and out of the flap so that you can twist the bulb holder extremely difficult. You will probably remove the indicator bulb the first time you try as it has a 10cm stalk on it whilst the sidelight has about a 3cm.
