markos69 Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 I know there has been some coverage of this topic before after searching through the post's, but didn't answer my question. This week the front wipers on my 1999 TDI Ghia decided to start working on there own and wouldn't turn off. I advised the garage about the post on here from other people advising to check the relay, (it had to go in for other work anyway) They have told me that it needs a new wiper motor, I nearly fell over when the told me that cost of the part. If it needs doing then fine but looking through other posts, it only seems to need a new motor when the wiper stop working. Any advice appreciated, (they will be getting the part in on Monday) Cheers Mark Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 Try Intapart or scrappies. IIRC it will be the electronics for the motor that need replacing but they are not available on their own from Ford or VW, they only come as part of the motor assembly. Quote
