ali66 Posted February 17, 2018 Report Posted February 17, 2018 Evening all Looking at replacing rear discs and pads on 02 plate 1.9 TDI - I can get the lot from ECP for £42 - Eicher - has anyone used this brand and are they reliable - any common problems replacing rear discs and pads ? I can see a walkthrough in the technical section for front change but not for rear. Thanks Quote
BrianH Posted February 17, 2018 Report Posted February 17, 2018 They are ok for cheap brakes, but not brilliant, You might find they squeal a bit. The front discs i tend to find are the more critical ones as they do more of the work, and are more likely to warp over time than the rears. You will need a suitable wind back tool for them - you have to turn the piston to get it to go back in (not just try and force it back). Otherwise mostly the same as the front just with the addition of the handbrake cable. Quote
ali66 Posted February 19, 2018 Author Report Posted February 19, 2018 Thanks - I've got the wind back tool from doing the pads on my Honda Jazz so all set. Quote
