Hi,

New Galaxy owner here(2004). Plenty of problems with this car but the most annoying is the hazard lights flashing like crazy since today. I checked the wiring in the door, few wires seemed to be already fixed at some point in it's life but just to be sure I unplugged the wire loom connector and still going on like madman. Strange thing is that when I open the door it stops so tried to press the interior light switch on the pillar and off it went again. Tried opening other door but didn't make any difference. Removed the switch from the harness and again hazards going on and off.

So it seems that my problem is somehow connected to the signal that the door is closed. Anyone had the same problem and where should I start looking?

Regards, Sami Kuusela

could be a bad earth on the door switches, but i would also check the wires in the door gators, carefully inspect each wire dont forget to also check the gator in the rear hatch coz they can cause no end of problems.

do a search on the forum for wiring problems.

That's a symptom that it's detecting a door failing to lock or unlock. Start by checking wires as said above. If wires all ok then try locking from inside, if you have either front door fail to lock then that's where your problem is likely to be. Might need to swap the affected door catch if wiring is ruled out.
